A few years back, my brother was assigned a school project wherein he was forced to write a list of twenty-five things to do before his twenty-fifth birthday. He took the easy way out, his list ending up mostly comprised of things that he had either already done, or else had no intention whatsoever of doing. The project, however, fascinated me. Since then, I`ve wanted to make my own list. I finally have, but have given myself a full 25 years to complete it, rather than the ten I would have had before I turned 25. I am, however, going to try to complete all these tasks/adventures/challenges as fast as possible. So, here it is, in no particular order, 25 things to do in the next 25 years:
1. Cook a turkey
2. Read the Bible, cover to cover
3. Visit every continent, including Antarctica
4. Watch The Little Mermaid
5. Learn how to ride a unicycle
6. Learn how to skateboard
7. Read 50 books from my house that I otherwise would never touch
8. Return to Tropic Days Backpacker's Hostel and bring the shirt that I got there
9. Make a wedding cake (possibly my own?)
10. Start a conversation with a total stranger on a bus/train/aeroplane/spaceship
11. Become a barista, or at least learn how to be one
12. Learn how to surf
13. Visit Amsterdam
14. Meet someone famous I admire
15. Start a collection of maps
16. Write a book
17. Live somewhere new
18. Make a pair of shoes
19. Design and make a dress for myself and wear it
20. Become a vegan for a month (idea courtesy of my beautiful friend Alison)
21. Learn to scuba dive
22. Make a full sized quilt, without help
23. Sleep under the stars
24. Learn how to dance
25. Fall in love
